College Relations

Our college relations outreach is handled by the Director of College Relations who serves as a liaison with these student chapters.  RWHRMA supports these chapters through our Partnership to Align Chapter Targets (PACT).  Our student chapter members are a very important part of our organization, as they represent our future HR leaders!!!

Student MENTOR Program

The Student Mentor Program 2009-2010 is underway.  Over 15 HR Professionals are acting as Mentors to Mentees from all three of the Raleigh-Wake sponsored colleges:  Meredith College, North Carolina State University and Peace College.  Mentees have an opportunity to participate in a variety of acitvites with their Mentor:  job shadowing, work observation, staff meetings, business lunches, chats over coffee, resume reviews, interview tips, and getting that spur of the moment question answered when needed.

Congratulations to Peace College's White Team on their 2009 State HR Games Win!

Captain, Sarah Blevins and team members, Maureen Freice and Paullette Culp brought the trophy home to Peace College after a challenging final round against Meredith College's Team Angels:  Anne Frazier Elliott, captain, Lacey Burt and Jordan Hockaday.  Both teams will receive scholarships for attending the Southeast Regional Games in Richmond, VA on April 18th.

Bianca Boles also received NCSHRM $1,000 Student Scholarship.  Bianca was presented the award at the North Carolina State HR conference in Greensboro Septemeber 2009.
