December 2009 Monthly Meeting

Topic:  From Goals to Reality:  Measuring What Matters for Success

Successful people know how to get things done. It’s a big part of why you are successful. And yet, there are always a few goals that seem elusive, that keep getting bumped aside by all the other things screaming for attention.  Finding the path that helps you focus on your longer-term goals can be challenging when your plate is overflowing with day-to-day activities. But it’s those goals that really make a difference to both your work and your personal life.  It’s easy to keep putting them off till you have more time to devote to them. But when, exactly, will that happen? The reality is, there’s always more to do, not less.

The good news is you don’t have to wait.  You can turn your goals into reality without abandoning the rest of your life or letting your other responsibilities fly out the window.  In this lively and interactive session, you will:

    * Learn the ten principals necessary to achieve professional or personal goals that matter to you.
    * Discover seven common pitfalls that get in the way and how to avoid stepping into them.
    * Get practical tools to help you stay on track and in action.
    * Develop clear action steps for one of your current goals.
    * Learn how to adapt the process to what’s uniquely right for you.
    * Understand how to prevent your business, career, and life goals from turning into typical New Year’s resolutions.

Speaker:  Sherry Essig
